This report gives an account of the actions carried out this past year, of the achievements made in favor of children and youth, women and families from excluded and impoverished sectors that face great challenges to build dignified conditions to which all people have a right.
When I landed in El Salvador, I did so carrying with me an English class program and with little idea about the country. Thanks to CINDE I knew another reality very different from mine. A reality that, although I knew of its existence, I had always ignored. Since then I have been collaborating with CINDE from Madrid and I am looking forward to returning to El Salvador.
Thanks to the work of the CINDE team, I was able to see lives that were very different from my own, absorbing everything that children, mothers and teachers shared with me. I will always be grateful for what this experience has given me as a person, and I hope to be able to give back, even if only in part, everything that the people of El Salvador gave me.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with CINDE, working in the different centers they have in different marginal neighborhoods of San Salvador. When I decided to go, little did I imagine the reality I would encounter, harder than I had thought. This experience taught me to see the world with different eyes. I have been an active partner and collaborator ever since.
The trust of donors and collaborators is very important for CINDE. That is why we audit our annual accounts and have also gone through the independent analysis of Fundación Lealtad, complying with all the principles of transparency and good practices in management.
